When the PM visits Tasmania today to tell Tasmanians to vote for his Voice proposal, he must address the other issues confronting Tasmanians.
The last time Anthony Albanese came to Tasmania, he provided $240 million for a waterfront stadium.
The thing he didn’t tell Tasmanians was that this funding was not exempt from GST calculations, meaning Tasmania will lose at least $240 million out of our GST allocation.
GST pays for our health and education services, including Aboriginal health and education, along with many other essential services all Tasmanians use.
The Prime Minister must today guarantee that Tasmanians will not lose out on GST funding as a result of this deal.
