If the Minister is claiming that only one of the 34 strong ISIS Bride cohort is deemed risky enough to warrant a Temporary Exclusion Order, then this raises more questions than answers.
These ISIS Brides all travelled to the same ‘declared area’ for the same reason of supporting the same listed terrorist organisation – how can only one member of this group be deemed a risk and the rest somehow okay?
The reality is that the Minister and the Government have been heavily involved in assisting third parties to repatriate these ISIS Brides to Australia, so much so that the chief organiser of the campaign group ‘Friends of Burke’ Dr Jamal Rifi, is himself reportedly in the Middle East assisting with the passage of these ISIS Brides back to Australia.
The Opposition has grave concerns that the Minister is not acting in the interests of our nation and its security, and is instead supporting these efforts to bring these ISIS Brides back to Australia.
