When will Labor put national security first?

Reports that another cohort of so-called ISIS brides may be on their way back to Australia are deeply disturbing.

These are people who chose to relocate to Syria alongside ISIS fighter husbands. They have been connected to a terrorist movement that wanted to fundamentally attack our way of life.

Now there are reports that more of them are on their way back to Australia.

And Labor is acting like there is nothing it can do. That is not good enough.

I’m calling on Labor to:

Issue Temporary Exclusion Orders
End Labor’s policy of self-managed returns for ISIS-linked cohorts
Be transparent with Australians about what is being done to manage these risks
Put national security first, not politics or private lobbying
