Local Tasmanian business recognised as top exporter

Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Senator for Tasmania Jonno Duniam has congratulated local business True South Seafood for being recognised as one of Australia’s leading exporters.

True South Seafood won the sustainability category at the 2021 Australian Export Awards.

True South Seafood is a leading supplier of premium Tasmanian, and New Zealand wild caught live abalone and Pāua, as well as the largest exporter of sea urchin roe from Tasmania.

This award recognises them for outstanding international success in environmental solutions, clean energy innovation, materials and energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste and water management, green buildings, smart cities and R&D collaboration.

“I congratulate True South Seafood for being named one of Australia’s top exporters,” Assistant Minister Duniam said.

“This award recognises the hard work, dedication and investment required to build a successful export business.
