The Albanese Labor Government is dudding Tasmania

We rely on grants from the Federal Labor Government to keep our hospitals and health system running, upgrade our roads and bridges to make the journey home safer, adequately fund our schools and to keep on building new houses.

But since Albo and his Labor Government into office in May 2022, we’ve seen this all go backwards. They’re too focused on Canberra to remember Tasmania.

Here are just a few examples were we’ve been dudded:

They rejected a $300m Royal Hobart Hospital upgrade request from the State Liberal Government.

They pulled $30 million away from the Cradle Mountain Cableway project that would have replaced buses from the visitor centre to Dove Lake.

They’ve caved to extreme environmental activists and are reviewing aquaculture licenses on the West Coast of Tassie, throwing into doubt the entire future of our $1 billion salmon industry. They won’t even put a timeline on when this will be resolved.

They ripped $16 million from the Old Surrey Road and Massy-Greene Drive Upgrades on the North West Coast, a VITAL freight link for our truckies and the local community.
